Ang Ating Mga Kayamanan Sa Bakuran (Our Treasures in the Yard)

In this exhibit, Baguio-based artist Jandy Carvajal showcased his practice of repoussé, a time-honored metal-working technique which means to be “pushed up”, through a collection of brass discs reminiscent of gold medals depicting a relief image of inedible everyday crops.

This exhibition was produced under the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) Exhibition Grant. The exhibition was held in the NCCA Glass Gallery, Intramuros, Manila.

This publication was envisioned to be part exhibition catalog and part jewelry inventory. The cover takes cues from a brass sheet—gold, cold, and clean. While the de-bossed text treatment is a nod to the repoussé technique.
